Dr. Danilo Sciarrone awarded with the “Leslie Ettre Award 2012”

Dr. Danilo Sciarrone was awarded with the “Leslie Ettre Award 2012” at the 9th Comprehensive Two-Dimensional Gas Chromatography Symposium and the 36th International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography, held as a combined event in Riva del Garda (Italy). Dr. Danilo Sciarrone is an assistant professor at the “Dipartimento di Scienze del Farmaco e Prodotti per la Salute”. Since the beginning of his career, Dr. Sciarrone has devoted his attention to the development of innovative gas chromatography techniques, such as multi-dimensional gas chromatography. Leslie Ettre is considered one of the fathers of capillary gas chromatography and every year since 2008, the prize is awarded to a young researcher who presented the best contribution on the environmental and food analysis, by means of capillary gas chromatographic techniques.

Dr. Sciarrone performs his research activities in the labs of the Analytical Food Chemistry Division, directed by Prof. Luigi Mondello.
